See why people like Preview ? Preview is one of the best things about OS X. Every OS needs a decent PDF reader and image viewer (not necessarily together), and this is better than all of the alternatives. Mac Program Similar To Excel
I found out about Preview from my boss who uses a Mac. The app would definitely make my life easier as I often need to combine documents that are in various formats. I ran a few queries through Google, but only came up with things like PDF spliters, which don’t provide the functionality I am interested in. Thanks A.

I'm not sure what functionality you are really looking for.The OS X preview is primarily a file preview with a lot of supported file types (most image file types, PDF, and a view others). In addition it has limited editing features like color correction for images and it can be used to do basic modification of PDF files (split, combine, move pages). It won't let you combine e.g. a PDF file with a PNG and some Word document with a 'single click'. To do this one would first have to save the PNG and Word document as a PDFs on their own and then do that. The equivalent to that would be a PDF printer of your choice and a PDF editing tool that can do the other operations e.g. Acrobat Pro
